'Grace Under Pressure' - A Play In Five Acts
Grace Under Pressure - A Play In Five Acts
A Brief Description:
It is 1971. The Vietnam War still drags on. Troop morale has hit a new low. The peace talks in Paris are stalled
in a geopolitical stare-down. The air war terrorizes Vietnam and neighborhing countries. As 'gradual withdrawal' continues
and U.S.-held areas are turned over to 'friendly' Vietnamese, mortar and rocket attacks against defensive positions escalates. The
American nation is nearly torn in two about the war. Specialist Tom Grace arrives at his new permanent duty station in a medical
compound amidst the confusion, adrenaline, violence, racism, desertion, mutiny, drugs, rock 'n roll, death, destruction and,
oftentimes, humor and boredom of war. Does he fall into the nihilistic doom of some of his comrades and succumb to war's insanity,
or does he somehow find a way to salvation?
